You can describe the nature of Tessin with words such as hilly or mountainous. However, the Swiss winery Luigi Zanini - Vinattieri is trying to express its own beauty with this red wine. We think he succeeded! This provocative Merlot 2013 — Vinattieri Rosso is literally a triumph down to the last drop! Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Merlot with poultry or duck.

Tasting note
The flagship of the entire Vinattieri range. Vinattieri has the complexity and complexity that you would expect from a wine in this quality class. On the nose, scented notes of sweet plums and blackcurrant jelly, but also of dark berries and cinnamon. The palate impression is powerful and full. The aftertaste is long and impressive. From ten years of maturity, aromas such as undergrowth, leather and mushrooms develop and the tannins develop a slight sweetness and are reminiscent of aged Pomerol.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with roasts, stews, game, cheese, fine pieces of meat.
Vinification
Classic fermentation in 10,000 liter wooden barrels. Some of the grapes are dried, followed by aging for at least 18 months in new barriques. Another year in the bottle before being marketed.
