Tasting note
Intense ruby red color. Complex on the nose, intensely spicy, mixed with red berries. Elegant and fine tannins on the palate, perfectly structured and balanced.
Culinary recommendation
Nice with hearty meals, roasts, game and ripe hard cheeses.
Vinification
Within the city walls of ancient Pompeii, five plots were planted with a total of just one hectare of vines (Piedirosso and Sciascinoso). The grapes are harvested by hand in the second half of October, with the lowest yields. After gentle pressing and vinification, the wine ages in barriques for twelve months.
