About the wine
The first official vintage of Vergaia 2020 is hard to beat in terms of exclusivity — only 2400 bottles were vinified. Aged in barriques, this Bordeaux blend has a distinct Bolgheri character and great aging potential. A wine we'll be hearing a lot more about!

Tasting note
Deep purple. With clear fruit and ripe cabernet characteristics. Blackberries, cinnamon, pepper, oregano, roasted tomato paste. Compact palate, full-bodied and dense, with notes of cocoa, smoke, cooked fruit. Fresh acidity and modern wood.
Culinary recommendation
It combines perfectly with aromatic pieces of beef, lamb or deer, fried or braised — just the way you like it.
Vinification
The grapes come from a vineyard with particularly strict selection and low yield. The grapes are macerated and fermented in temperature-controlled steel tanks immediately after being harvested. After fermentation is complete, the young wine is refined in French oak barriques for 15 months. In late autumn, the wine is bottled, where it rests for a further 12 months.
