About the wine

Grandfather Min laid the foundation stone 50 years ago, father Livio Zorzettig built on it and Massimo and Marco Zorzettig, who preserve the family tradition together with mother Gabriella, continue the story with their wine cellar La Tunella. She and her invaluable employees, including the outstanding OENO lodge and friend Luigino Zamparo, combine innovation and experience, new developments and the long-standing tradition of Colli Orientali del Friuli. The 70 hectares of the La Tunella winery are all located in the D.O.C. growing region and are planted entirely with vines in a ratio of 70:30, i.e. 70% for white wines and the remaining 30% for red wines. The hilly area, the Colli Orientali, consists of mixed soil of sandstone and marl (called “ponca” in Friulian) and is characterized by a particularly favourable, simply unique microclimate.
