About the wine
Bodega Matarromera, founded in 1988, is located in the renowned Ribera del Duero wine region, in Valbuena de Duero, province of Valladolid. The family-owned winery covers over 80 hectares and uses ideal pedoclimatic conditions for growing Tinto Fino (Tempranillo). It specializes in red wines in the categories “Gran Reserva”, “Reserva”, “Crianza” and the exclusive “Prestigio” line. The modern cellar produces typical terroir wines of the highest quality.

Tasting note
The wine presents a wide range of aromas from tropical fruits such as passion fruit and mango to herbaceous aromas and a fine roasted aroma. On the palate, the Verdejo delights with a velvety texture, finely chiselled acidity and a long-lasting, aromatic finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fish — from grilled sea bream and trout to steamed zander or a fine fillet of monkfish.
Vinification
The grapes for this exceptional wine come from the Finca de Las Piedras in Valdestillas. Thanks to aging in French oak barrels and the exceptional terroir, the wine has great aging potential.
