About the wine
With the fine Valtellina Superiore Grumello DOCG Red Edition from 2009, you will positively surprise your guests. Blooming and fertile landscapes of Lombardy give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Plozza SA Brusio conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience.

Tasting note
Garnet red color. An inviting start with sweet raisin aromas. On the palate, you'll discover licorice, tobacco and strawberry aromas. Very elegant and balanced with lots of power and finesse. The tannins are pronounced and dry, but are coated with a sweet fruit coating. Juicy and fruity on the aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with meat dishes, terrines, game, pasta, lamb, roasts.
Vinification
In contrast to traditional Grumello, the Riserva is aged in barriques for four to six months, in addition to aging oak barrels for several years.
