About the wine
Cousins Francisco Ferreira and João Alvares Ribeiro run the winery in the 7th generation and their names stand for perfect cuvées from the Douro Valley. Tip: The winery also has an excellent 4-star hotel.

Tasting note
Founded in 1716, Quinta do Vallado is one of the oldest and most famous wineries in the Douro Valley. It is located on the banks of the Corgo, a tributary of the Douro, right at its mouth and close to the town of Peso da Régua. The quinta was owned by the legendary Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira and is still owned by her descendants today.
