About the wine
Bodegas Valdaya began as a family project of the Gonzalez family in the tiny village of Sotillo de la Ribera. In 2013, the family recruited the young winemakers Marta Ramas and Miguel Fisac. Both have degrees in oenology from the renowned University of Bordeaux and have gained many years of extensive experience at wineries in Bordeaux, California, New Zealand and South Africa.

Tasting note
Brilliant purple On the nose, a touch of pipe tobacco as well as aromas of black and red berries, warm spices and aromatic wood. Youthful on the palate, with an elegant texture and a perfectly harmonizing acid and tannin structure. That is an enormous drinking experience!

Lamb, stews, fine pieces of meat, mushrooms, cheese
Vinification
Vinified in wooden barrels, then aged in French barriques for 16 months.
