About the wine
With the distinctive Merlot 2009 — Unico Senator IGP Calabria Rosso, nuances and accents are redefined. The winemaker from the Italian winery Senatore Vini is absolutely proficient in his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the blooming and sunny countryside of Calabria. Tasting note
The grapes are unique, picked when harvested in our vineyards, overripe with increased sugar content, harvested by hand from the vine. The vinification in accordance with tradition, the maturation first in barriques and later in steel barrels, make it a unique wine: of decisive color, rich in aromas ranging from those of ripe fruit to those of spices, a full flavor with a sweet aftertaste that is excellently balanced with good acidity. An ideal wine for a convivial meeting, goes well with mature cheese, sweet and sour meat dishes and with bitter chocolate.
