About the wine

The Weingut zur Sonne by Francisca and Christian Obrecht looks back on a history of over 169 years. The Obrecht were among the first to bottle and sell wines in the Bündner Herrschaft. And yet tradition has not become a shackle of innovation here. What all bottles have in common is the big, smiling sun on the label. It is the obvious landmark of Obrecht. Francisca and Christian cultivate a good six hectares of vineyards in Jenins and Malans. The two strive for harmony between plant and environment and use the biodynamic method to do so. They are convinced that biodynamically produced wines are characterized by greater independence, freshness and digestibility. As a result, the conversion to biodynamic viticulture according to Demeter took place in spring 2013. The wines reflect the increased mindfulness in the vineyard and cellar. They are fruity and profound, creating a captivating tension from the first drink to the finish.

Tasting note
Hot love - warm wild berries on icy ice cream. Unbelievably tasty right at the start with a colorful, velvety potpurri of soft fruits, fully ripe wild strawberries, fresh currants and plump blueberries, then suddenly, surprising spiciness and cooling juiciness that last, make the finish go so you can't get enough.
Culinary recommendation
Vinification
