About the wine
With the distinctive Primitivo 2014 — Triusco Puglia IGT, nuances and accents are redefined. With sensitivity and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Rivera masters this red wine in the fertile and sunny countryside of Apulia. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you serve this Primitivo with spicy hard cheese or red meat.
Tasting note
Dense ruby with purple reflections. On the nose, intense, fruity aromas of ripe, sweet blackberries and dark cherries combined with a warm spice. Smooth and mouth-filling on the palate with ripe, dark fruits, fine tannins and spice. Nice balance between fruit, acidity and wood. A great and very aromatic primitive.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with spicy specialities such as goulash or roast lamb.
Vinification
The grapes for the Riserva come from a single vineyard and are strictly selected. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks for ten to twelve days at 26°C. The wine is then aged for six months in 50 hl Slavonian oak barrels and concrete tanks lined with glass for a further twelve months. After bottling, the Triusco rests on the bottle for three months before it is sold.
