About the wine
Jorge Ordoñez is a pioneer in the Toro region. In 1995, he traveled to Toro with the Eguren family and was impressed by the ancient, still rooted vines. Together, they founded Bodegas Numanthia in 1997 — still one of the region's flagships today. In 2007, the winery was sold to the luxury group LVMH. Shortly after, Jorge Ordoñez launched his own project with Bodegas Jorge Ordoñez. He is proud to produce wine from the oldest Tempranillo clones (Tinta de Toro) in one of the best red wine regions in the world.

Tasting note
Triton Tinta de Toro are full-bodied and very fruity wines that are characterized by soft and well-integrated tannins. Triton Tinta de Toro has dark and sweet berries and a long and elegant finish.

Vinification
The first fermentation takes place in open stainless steel tanks with wild yeasts. The wine is transferred to French oak barrels (Burgundy and Bordeaux) for malolactic fermentation.
