About the wine
With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Triacca masters this red wine in the fertile and sunny landscape of Valtellina. With this outstanding Nebbiolo 2013 — Triacca Il Monastero, the term taste takes on a new meaning. Culinary tip from Flaschenpost team: This Nebbiolo is excellent to serve with beef or prosciutto.
Tasting note
The acidity in good balance with the ripe tannin, pleasant, refined wood notes, and a very long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with strong, dark meat dishes such as beef, lamb, deer, as well as mushroom dishes and truffles.
Vinification
After pressing, carefully aged for 12 to 15 months in small and new oak barrels in an ancient vaulted cellar.
