About the wine
Not a story, a fairy tale. In this bewitchingly beautiful and hot valley, winegrowers used to grow grapes only for the big port wine producers with hard work but little passion until Dirk van Niepoort arrived. With his bold idea of founding a kind of cooperative with numerous winegrowers and processing the grapes with an excellent team into independent wines that reflect their origin, he woke the Douro Valley from deep sleep. Since 1999, the Lavradores de Feitoria community has been producing very remarkable and surprisingly cheap wines year after year.

Tasting note
Resolute and independent character. Distinctive, fresh and tart fruit, gooseberries and kiwi, also some warm, spicy notes. On the palate, initially full and soft, almost buxom, ends on the tart fruit and with moderate acidity.
Vinification
Very low returns. Selective reading by hand. Temperature-controlled fermentation with pure yeast in stainless steel tanks and a small portion in French oak barrels.
