About the wine
Not a story, a fairy tale. In this bewitchingly beautiful and hot valley, winegrowers used to only grow grapes for the major port wine producers with hard work but little passion until Dirk van Niepoort arrived. With his bold idea of founding a kind of cooperative with numerous winegrowers and processing the grapes into independent wines that reflect their origin with an excellent team, he has awakened the Douro Valley from deep sleep. Since 1999, the Lavradores de Feitoria community has been producing very remarkable and astonishingly cheap wines year after year.

Tasting note
Elegant, fruity and fresh, white fruits such as pear, white peach and a hint of pineapple. Mineral with a slight hint of vanilla. Intense, full aromas in the mouth. The aromas of the nose are also reflected here. Complex intensive with well-integrated acidity.

Vinification
25 to 30 year old vines. Selective harvesting by hand. 80% maturation in stainless steel tanks, 20% in new French wooden barrels 4 to 6 months.
