About the wine
In 1792, three brothers from the Corti family from Balerna founded this company to trade wine. Since then, the company has remained owned by the descendants of the founders and has always cleverly adapted to changing circumstances. Today, Fratelli Corti SA processes Merlot grapes from numerous private winemakers from Mendrisiotto, a total of around 1000 quintals per year.

Tasting note
On the nose, fresh aromas of red berries, cherries and a touch of herbs. Fruity, soft and harmonious on the palate with a gentle tannin structure and a pleasant freshness. The finish is round, accessible and slightly spicy — an elegant, uncomplicated Merlot with a typical Ticino character.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect with pasta with tomato sauce or ragù, roast veal, poultry dishes, pizza, mild cheese or Mediterranean vegetable dishes. Also ideal as a versatile everyday wine and food companion.
Vinification
Traditional mash fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature to preserve freshness and fruit aromas. The aging also takes place in stainless steel tanks or in large wooden barrels to achieve a harmonious, fruity style without the dominant influence of wood.
