About the wine
The Colomé vineyards, at the foot of the Andes, stretch from 2200 to 3015 meters above sea level, making them the highest in the world. There is a very dry climate here and water is available for 300 to 350 hectares of vines. The property in Colomé covers 39,000 hectares. Colomé Estate is located in Valle Calchaquí and is a 4-hour drive from the provincial capital of Salta Province. Because visitors have to be accommodated, owner Donald Hess (formerly Valser Wasser) built a luxury hotel with 9 suites on his winery.

Tasting note
Lemon yellow with a subtle greenish tinge. On the nose, an intensely scented bouquet with exotic fruit notes and fascinating floral nuances unfolds. Elderberry and apricot blossoms blend harmoniously with a touch of white pepper. Citrus accents of bergamot and grapefruit as well as a fine tart essence round off the aromas. On the palate, the fruity-exotic aroma continues, accompanied by an ethereal freshness. The finale is lively and leaves a lasting impression with its fruity clarity.
Culinary recommendation
Ideal as an accompaniment to tapas, bread salad and olives. It is ideal as an aperitif or with vegetable casseroles.
