The first Bolgheri wine to be born on the Torre di Donoratico hill in one of the highest vineyards of this exceptional appellation of origin. In 2018, the Campo alle Comete winery pioneered the discovery of this new subterroir within DOC Bolgheri. Torre alle Comete comes from exceptional new vineyards located at the foot of Torre di Donoratico at 230 m above sea level, at one of the highest locations in the appellation of origin. From the vineyard, you can enjoy a breathtaking panorama that covers a large part of the Etruscan coast from Livorno to the island of Elba, with a privileged vantage point on the island of Gorgona. From the first light of dawn to sunset, the sun illuminates the vines, which are constantly caressed by the sea breeze, making this vineyard airy and cool even during long summer days. The Torre alle Comete has a lovely freshness and aromas of currant bushes and hints of lemongrass and fresh basil. Full-bodied and concentrated on the palate with firm and polished tannins.
