Tasting note
In extremely steep areas, these Mencia vines, which are up to 50 years old, grow on slate soils. This is reflected in cool mineral notes, on the nose as well as on the palate. The aging in French barriques for only four months supports the typical redberry-fruity freshness that is characteristic of this grape and at the same time provides a finely spicy touch.
Culinary recommendation
Wonderful with Mediterranean vegetable cuisine, fritata, suckling pig, and various types of barbecues.
