About the wine
Blooming and beautiful landscapes in Veneto give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Masi conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. With the dominant Corvina 2013 — Toar Valpolicella classico superiore doc, nuances and accents are redefined. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Corvina with roasts or recent types of cheese.
Tasting note
Deep, intense ruby red with purple reflections. On the nose, notes of ripe, small, black berries. Seductive and dense, with a slight sweetness and a touch of vanilla. Dry on the palate, with well-accentuated acidity and soft tannin of good quality. Flavours of plums and black cherries. The finish is long, slightly warm and yet elegant.
Culinary recommendation
Complements barbecues of all kinds, but also risotto salsiccia.
Vinification
The autochthonous grape varieties are harvested separately and fermented in steel tanks after pressing. The assemblage is followed by aging in 600-liter oak barrels and aging in the bottle for around six months.
