About the wine
It is thanks to an English customer from Portal that the single-varietal Tinta Roriz was produced for the first time in 1997. Since then, only seven more vintages have been produced realized, all of which were awarded gold.

Tasting note
The Quinta do Portal Tinta Roriz 2020 presents intense aromas of ripe black cherries and subtle mineral notes. On the palate, it shows a harmonious balance between freshness and strength, with concentrated, ripe tannins and a persistent, elegant finish.
Culinary recommendation
Eat with red meat, game dishes and aged cheese.
Vinification
The alcoholic fermentation and maceration take place in stainless steel tanks at temperatures between 26°C and 28°C. The wine is then aged for a short time in used French oak barrels to develop its structure and complexity.
