Dark purple, strong and pleasant scents of sweet fruits, blueberries, wild flowers, spicy on the nose. Dense on the palate, complex with a wonderfully long finish. 100% Tinta Cao, this autochthonous grape variety from the Douro has a lot to offer. As a variety of Vitis vinifera, it is a hermaphrodite, which means that it fertilizes itself - there was probably too little male pollen passed by in the past in the barren landscape of the Douro. The Tinto Cao is a rare vin de garage. Production: just 700 bottles.
