About the wine
In 1971, Marchese Piero Antinori brought the first Tignanello onto the market. By marrying Sangiovese with international grape varieties and letting the wine mature in barriques, he created the first “Supertuscan”. A powerful drop with generous aromas — super smooth.
Tasting note
Rich ruby red. On the nose, a dense blanket of aromas, cedarwood, warm spices and herbs, paired with components of licorice and black fruit. A powerful, energetic start on the palate, but still smooth. Juicy acidity, top-quality structuring tannins. The aromas of the nose are accompanied by a compact fruit and a touch of leather. The finish is balanced and has a long, aromatic persistence.
Culinary recommendation
Goes particularly well with grilled beef with hearty side dishes or stuffed pasta with Tignanello.

6 to 24 months in wood, only in barriques
