Tasting note
A rich blend of 60% Zweigelt, 20% Merlot and 20% Pinot Noir, aged in barriques for 14 months. The nose shows aromas of dark berries, juicy black cherries, plums and some cassis, framed with fine toasty notes of fine cocoa, tobacco, licorice and a touch of vanillin. Round and juicy on the palate, with elegant richness, texture and spicy fruit.
Culinary recommendation
A wonderful accompaniment to stews and game, such as rabbit in a romaine pot with plums, beef roulades, vegetable pepper or venison schnitzel with cranberry cream sauce, but also to risotto or pasta with mushrooms.
