About the wine
Tamborini Vini was founded in 1944 by Carlo Tamborini and is now an established name in Ticino. For 70 years, wines have been vinified and traded here with great skill and success. And always with passion and commitment to this incomparably beautiful region and its wines, in particular the charming Ticino Merlot. Today, Carlo Tamborini manages the fate of the family business in Lamone. On 23 hectares of vineyards and in several wineries such as San Zeno, a colorful range of wines is produced, from white to red Merlot, from uncomplicated and cheerful food companions to the large, impressive Quattromani.

Tasting note
Personality from the mountains. Warm, dark fruit, spice, fresh, moist soil, stone. Large body on the palate, concentrated and structured, very ripe, even dried fruit, spicy acidity and tart, almost sparse notes at the end.

Vinification
Selective, very late harvest by hand. The maceration period is 20 days, and malolactic fermentation and maturation for 18 months take place in barrique barrels.
