About the wine
Dalva is a brand of over 100 years old C. da Silva (Vinhos) Sarl winery in Vila Nova da Gaia. It has a few quintas on the middle reaches of the Douro, and its cellars store over 4,000 pipes of port wine.

Vinification
The young wine was stopped with noble brandy at an alcohol content of 3%. The aim is to leach paint and tannins. The ageing took place in barriques for 8 months.
