Tasting note
Medium ruby with garnet reflections, brightening towards the edge. Beguiling, sweet nose of ripe, red berries, sour cherries, plum compote and warm spices. Soft start, spicier on the palate than on the nose. Subtle roasted aromas, warm spices, some tobacco, ripe cassis. Balanced, meaty and flattering on the aftertaste. An excellently successful Sardinian representative with an international touch.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with gnocchi al ragu, saltimbocca and grilled meats.
Vinification
The two types of grapes are harvested and vinified separately. The assemblage is followed by a three-year aging in barriques and large wooden barrels. The wine is then aged in the bottle for six months.
