About the wine
This Syrah comes from one of the oldest Syrah vineyards in Austria, planted by grandfather in 1999. Deep-rooted vines on dry, profound loess produce a dense, spicy wine of powerful elegance that gains finesse when aged in the bottle. The grapes come from Ried Bühl on the south side — one of the warmest locations in the region — and from the Kirchtal subdistrict with particularly calcareous, extremely profound loess right next to the cellar.

Culinary recommendation
Despite the coolness, there is a sweet core, fleshy and polished tannins. All of this is wonderfully interwoven and has a profoundly coherent effect even at a young age. Lamb chops would go well with this.
