Tasting note
On the nose, intense aromas of dark berries, black pepper, violets, licorice and fine roasted aromas. On the palate, the wine is powerful and balanced, with a dense structure, ripe fruit and well-integrated tannin. The finish is long, spicy and elegant — a characterful Syrah with Mediterranean expression and alpine depth.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect with rack of lamb, game dishes, beef stew, spicy pasta, mushroom dishes or aged hard cheese. Also ideal with Mediterranean-spiced baked vegetables or dark chocolate with peppery notes.
Vinification
Traditional mash fermentation with temperature-controlled fermentation. The wine is aged in French barriques, where the wine ages for several months and gains in complexity, elegance and shelf life. The aging in wood gives Syrah depth and fine spice without covering the fruit.
