About the wine

Since it was founded by Frédéric Varone in 1900, the Sion-based company Varone has been actively working on the qualitative development of the Valais wine and wine industry. For four generations, the Varone family has also been upgrading the extraordinary heritage of the higher Rhone Valley. This heritage includes the ancient varieties Petite Arvine, Amigne, Humagne blanche, Marsanne blanche, Humagne rouge and Cornalin, which wonderfully represent the many facets of the Sion terroir on the terraces of the wine domains of Clavoz, Comba Bernard, Clos de Châteauneuf and Uvrier.
