About the wine

Egger-Ramer has been producing wine since 1880. In 1900, the company was located in the Gries district of Bolzano, where it is still located today. After the Second World War, Egger-Ramer mutated into a commercial winery. This changed after the fourth generation, Christine and Toni Egger, took over the company in 1987. With the exception of a few suppliers, most of whom are related, only grapes from our own production are pressed. Egger-Ramer is now run as a purely family business. Son Peter Egger has joined the company more and more in recent years and is primarily responsible for sales. The Egger-Ramer vineyards are located in Gries. In 1999, the winery was chosen by Gambero Rosso, the most important Italian food and wine guide, as the Saranno Famosi of Italy's rising wineries.
