Trebbiano is a common grape variety far beyond Italy, often under different names (there are said to be over 150 synonyms) and is also said to be related to the Garganega vine in Soave. It is found everywhere in Italy, whether as a main variety such as in Umbria, for example, or as a small specialty in North Piedmont, on Lake Garda (Lugana), in Tuscany, where it plays a role in many Vin Santo. The Sua Signoria Trebbiano from Briziarelli is a typical representative of this mineral variety with delicate aromas. Its very special characteristic is its excellent aging potential.
