About the wine

In the former GVS winery founded in 1934, the Schaffhausen wine dynasty Schachenmann produces nationally and internationally excellent wines from the grapes that 160 vineyards in the Pinot Noir region cherish and maintain for them. For economic reasons, the wineries GVS Weinkellerei and Schachenmann AG came together in 1998 and combined their strengths. Since then, the winery has acted as GVS Schachenmann AG and inspires wine connoisseurs with traditional wines and innovative ideas. During vinification, the winery uses a variety of technical options in such a way that the qualities of the grapes and the soil on which it grows are fully exploited.
