About the wine
With the distinctive Sauvignon Blanc 2016 — Spinalba Bianco Terre di Chieti Abruzzo IGP, nuances and accents are redefined. The fertile and blooming landscapes of Abruzzo give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Azienda Agricola Venea conjures up this white wine with refinement and experience. Tasting note
The blend of Trebbiano and Sauvignon Blanc is fresh, playful and extremely fruity. Grapefruit, green apples and yellow apricots with a dash of herbal spice dominate the intense aroma; these aromas also determine the palate impression, underscored by a wonderful freshness and light-heartedness.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The ideal drinking temperature for the white wine is slightly chilled 10°-12°C. The recommended enjoyment phase of this wine is in the following period: vintage + 2 years. Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: Goes well with goat cheese, white meat and fish.
Vinification
The whole grapes are kept cold for a few days to get more fruit. Then drain and gently press. Vinification in steel tanks. The wine was aged in steel tanks for 6 months.
