About the wine
In Tuscany, “Solengo” means “solitary wild boar.” It is the new expression of Argiano's wine potential. The wine is the result of teamwork between the winemaker from Argiano and the oenologist Hans Vinding-Diers, a wonderful blend of French grape varieties that has delicate Mediterranean characteristics. Its high quality is due to the complex interplay of various elements: ideal microclimate, diverse soils (including volcanic rocks), exceptional geographical location.
Tasting note
Bright ruby red with a very dense color, brilliant violet reflections. Intense, ripe, fruity, blackberry bouquet, sweet dried plum aromas, distinctive notes of aging, roasted, spicy, wood and tobacco, finely earthy with a vegetal nuance. Silky, soft start, opulent, roasty-fruity palate aromas, powerful body, long aftertaste. Quality: Unfiltered wine (can therefore have a small sediment), of great harmony with great potential.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fresh pasta with fresh, finely sliced truffles, entrecote, wild fowl and tournedos.
