About the wine
This distinctive Merlot 2015 — Severo IGT Supertuscan crowns every festive meal with elegance and finesse. The winemaker from the Italian winery De' Ricci absolutely masters his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originated in the fertile and blooming Tuscan countryside. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Merlot with slightly spicy red meat or poultry.
Tasting note
This special wine is created from an inspiration: it should be a vintage with the highest possible expression of the grapes in the De Ricci company, with the exception of Sangiovese.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fine dishes made from beef, lamb, game, as well as vegetable gratin or hearty pasta dishes.
Vinification
Hand harvest followed by careful selection of the grapes. The grapes are stripped and partially crushed. Vinification in steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Aging for 12 months in Tonneaux, then for 12 months in barrels of 10 hl. Ageing in the bottle for at least 6 months before sale.
