Tasting note
The origins of Abbazia and its viticulture date back to the 11th century. Today, it is experiencing a meteoric upswing, because since entrepreneur Francesco Lena and his son Gianfranco dedicated themselves fully to this company, an exemplary company has been established here. The focus is always on the local Nero d'Avola variety, a pure varietal in this wine. The name Sens (i) nverso says it all: Father Francesco Lena has already initiated the “Biodynamics” project, which today covers the entire winery. Nero d'Avola was the first of the wines to comply with this concept and is now certified by Demeter.
