Tasting note
The vines from which the grapes for this single-varietal Chenin Blanc come from are around 15 years old. Aged for one year in French oak barrels. The bouquet features aromas of honey melons, juicy pears and candied citrus fruits, plus floral scents and the mineral-smoky notes typical of Savennières, backed with well-integrated oak seasoning from aging in wood. Engaging, dynamic palate start, with juicy round fruit, again mineral-rich with a well-supporting acid structure.
Culinary recommendation
For an aperitif with a quiche lorraine or onion-cheese tart, as well as with fish or crustaceans, such as fried zander with white wine herb sauce or crayfish in mussel broth with spring spring. But also with white meat and poultry.
