About the wine

The Colomé vineyards, at the foot of the Andes, rise from 2200 to 3015 meters above sea level and are therefore the highest in the world. The climate here is very dry and water is available for 300 to 350 hectares of vines. The property in Colomé covers 39,000 hectares. Colomé Estate is located in Valle Calchaquí, 4 hours by car from the provincial capital of Salta. Because visitors must be accommodated, owner Donald Hess (formerly Valser Wasser) built a luxury hotel with 9 suites on his winery.
