About the wine

Guglielmo Gialdi founded Gialdi Vini SA in Mendrisio in 1953, which is now managed by son Feliciano and, thanks to his commitment, is one of the top companies in Ticino viticulture. Thanks to continuous investments in the wineries in Mendrisio and Bodio, the company today vinifies a total of almost 1 million kilograms of grapes annually from over 300 winemakers in Lower Leventina, the Riviera and the Blenio Valley. The wide range of Gialdi products consists primarily of Sopraceneri wines. Some of the wine cellars are built into the mountains to take advantage of the circulating air flows in the Monte Generoso massif. In this ideal climate, barrique barrels mature the best Gialdi wines.
