About the wine
Blooming and fertile Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Santa Cristina conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. This distinctive Merlot 2016 — Santa Cristina rossoToscana IGT is a triumph down to the last drop in the truest sense of the word! The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you offer this Merlot with duck or slightly spicy red meat.

Tasting note
Rich ruby red with purple reflections. On the nose, a flattering scent of red berries, ripe sour cherries, some dried fruits and subtle wood notes. On the palate, uncomplicated, round, with supple tannins, very fruity and straight. Fruity and meaty aftertaste, with good aromatic persistence and the playfulness of Sangiovese.
Culinary recommendation
The born pizza wine. Serve it slightly chilled at 14°C.
Vinification
After careful harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and separated by variety and fermented at a temperature controlled at a maximum of 25°C in stainless steel tanks. The subsequent aging takes place for four months, partly in large Slavonian oak barrels and partly in steel tanks.
