Tasting note
Mineral bouquet with aromas of Morell cherries and blackcurrant leaves, accompanied by fine smoky notes. The tannins are fine, focused, crisp and in the finish, the wine continues its fruitiness and reveals its unique terroir.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The ideal drinking temperature for red wine is a slightly chilled temperature of 12°-14°C. Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Goes well with duck, cheese and salmon.
Vinification
The strictly selected grapes come from old vines, which thrive on clay-limestone soils, which are locally known as Terres Blanches. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled barrels. Depending on the vintage, the wines then mature in 228 liter barrels.
