About the wine

For several generations, Domaine Laporte has played a pioneering role in the Loire and has earned a reputation for the quality of its wines. The organically farmed estate covers 21 hectares in the heart of the appellation, planted with Sauvignon Blanc for the white Sancerre. Each of our wines is vinified separately, taking into account the soil type from which it comes: “Le Rochoy”, a monopoly on flint soil, “La Comtesse”, located on the Cimmeridgian marls of the famous “Les Monts Damnés” hill in Chavignol. Since 1986, our Domaine Laporte has been owned by the Bourgeois family.
