Tasting note
Clear, dense ruby red with fine reddish gold reflections, deep black core. Intense, complex with dried fruit nuances, elegant, warm notes (cocoa, sweet spices), slightly vegetal and nutty. Dense palate with strong stature, present structure, fine, fresh acidity, subtle tartness on the finish. Elegant, aristocratic wine, can still mature, possibly caraff.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fried venison fillet with blackberry wild cream sauce, entrecote à la bordelaise, aged hard cheese.
