About the wine
Le Tende, the small winery owned by the Fortuna and Lucillini families, is located very close to Lake Garda. Around 120,000 bottles are produced annually, of which the lion's share is Bardolino and Bianco di Custoza. Mauro Fortuna is responsible for production and he sees his big challenge in creating Bardolino wines that have more expression and depth than what is commonly on the market under this name. Fortuna therefore focuses on the Corvina grape, the noblest of the red Verona varieties. His Bardolino, especially the Superiore, is always a bit more distinctive and expressive than the vast majority of plants that go under this name.

Tasting note
Golden yellow color, elegant bouquet of white flowers, yellow fruits and almonds, paired with light minerality. In the mouth, Sabia appears juicy, fresh with good structure and mineral notes, long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fish as well as with white meats. Especially with shellfish and freshwater fish.
Vinification
Manual harvesting of grapes, 48 hours of maceration on the skins, gentle pressing followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature, aged for 8 months on own yeast in steel tanks and large oak barrels.
