About the wine
The winery was founded in 1896 in the municipality of Balavaud in Lower Valais. Jean-René Germanier took over the winery from his father. The estate is currently managed with great success by Gilles Besse, Jean-René's nephew. In recent years, the company has been completely equipped with new cellar technology and forms an important framework for Valais wine. Autochthonous grape varieties such as Cornalin, Humagne and Amigne are on the Jean-René Germanier program even before the hype for local and traditional produce begins.

Tasting note
Elegant nose with raspberry, black cherry and pepper notes. Balanced, round and full-bodied on the palate.
Culinary recommendation
This robust wine with both fine and excellent tannins is ideal with meat dishes and soft and spicy cheeses.
