About the wine
At the heart of the property is the Château La France hotel restoration in the form of a Gallo-Roman villa. In 1635, under Louis XIII, the castle belonged to the Quinsac family, the royal notaries in Bordeaux. After the French Revolution, the château was rebuilt in its current style by traders from Bordeaux. Until 1930, it was called Château Quinsac and was then renamed Château La France. The Mottet family bought the winery in 2009 and has steadily increased the quality of the wines.
