About the wine
We have a special, strong Cabernet Sauvignon from 2015 for you, which is a source of enthusiasm among many wine connoisseurs. The winemaker from the Austrian winery Josef Pöckl absolutely masters his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originated in the picturesque landscape of Burgenland. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Cabernet Sauvignon with ribeye steak or Gruyère burger.

Tasting note
Wonderful blend of 55% Zweigelt, 20% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc. Aged half in new and used barriques for 20 months. The nose shows aromas of cherries, plums and black currants, plus some nougat and a fine, slightly peppery spice. Firm palate, juicy and balanced, with a long aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
A wonderful accompaniment to hearty stews but also to barbecues and game.
Vinification
The vinification took place as follows: 18 months in half new and used barriques.
