About the wine
Blooming and fertile Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Poliziano conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. With the distinctive Merlot 2012 — Rosso di Montepulciano DOC, you can offer your family and friends something very special. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you serve this Merlot with duck or poultry.
Tasting note
An elegant Rosso di Montepulciano with the typical fruity-spicy scent and a solid body. The wine impresses with a perfect balance, is complex and shows an aromatic Sangiovese fruit. It also impresses with a finish that has remarkable persistence.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with white meats, pizza, pasta, poultry and grilled food.
Vinification
The entire production process was developed specifically for this purpose. The grapes for Rosso di Montepulciano are harvested about a week before those for the Nobile in order to achieve appropriate and not too complex phenolic maturation. The proportion of Sangiovese grapes is aged in cooler cement tanks, while the Merlot matures in oak barrels, which at the same time gives the wine its characteristic softness and fullness on the palate.
