About the wine
If we can offer something special for Christmas 2021, it's this provocative Merlot 2018 — Rosso Di Montefalco DOC. Graceful and fertile landscapes in Umbria give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Caprai Arnaldo conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Merlot with slightly spicy red meat or poultry.

Tasting note
Rich ruby red, fine earthy tones on the nose, blackberries, cassis and a touch of leather. On the palate, spicy, fresh notes with aromas of ripe fruit and vanilla, good structure. Full, elegant body with a dry, long finish. A stately wine with finesse and power.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fried sea fish, white and red meat, cheese platter
Vinification
12 months storage in wooden barrels and barriques. Then aged in the bottle for 4 months.
